Masuduzzaman Kamrul

From Sylhet to Busan — hospitality student, traveler, and co-founder of Applyly. A little boy from Bangladesh, chasing his dreams and working hard to make his existence meaningful.

    01 Essay

I rose from zero — and I’m still climbing.

I’m from Sylhet, Bangladesh. After my HSC I set my sights on studying abroad. I applied to universities in several countries, collected admission offers — then faced a rejection at the US embassy.

I chose not to give up. On 12 August 2023 I landed in Busan, South Korea, to study Global Hospitality Management at Kyungsung University. One of the best decisions of my life.

I fund my own travel from hard-earned work in Korea — including a stretch cooking soup in a Busan restaurant as the first and only foreign worker there, and a stint with the Busan International Film Festival. By February 2025 — at 22 — I had already set foot in 16 countries. The stamps keep coming.

Today I’m co-founder of Applyly, and I still believe the same thing I wrote years ago: visa knowledge should be free, so anyone can process their own path without an agency or middleman.

“I never forget who I am, where I’m from, what I’ve been through, and what made me who I am today.”

    05 Venture

    Applyly — Simply Applyly

In 2026 I co-founded Applyly in Dhaka. We help students study abroad with no agency fees — visa counseling, university applications, pre-departure briefings, career counseling, and IELTS / TOEFL prep.

The idea grew out of years of personally guiding students through visas and applications, hand in hand, and running free IELTS prep groups. Knowledge shouldn’t be locked behind a commission.
